  • The Friends of Alfie Johnson was established to provide help children with disabilities in the Dudley, Sandwell, and Wolverhampton Boroughs of the Black Country. We are a registered charity (number 1156356) with a registered address of White Gates, Hall Drive, Enville. DY7 5HB.

  • We may collect and process the following information about you:
  • Information that you provide by filling in (and posting or emailing us) the Funding Application Questionnaire available on our website friendsofalfiejohnson.org.uk.
  •  If you contact us using the website contact form, email, or telephone, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Receipt of Gift Aid forms so that we can reclaim tax.
  • If you register to receive news updates.
  • Details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access.

  • We may use your information to:
  • Evaluate funding applications and communicate with you related to the status of applications.
  • Arrange for the delivery of equipment or services by third parties (see section “Who has access to your information”) related to your application.
  • With your express permission, create marketing messages to promote our charity to other potential recipients and to donors.
  • Send you communications that you have requested and that may be of interest to you including, information about our fundraising activities and any donations that we make.
  • Security of information
  • The Friends of Alfie Johnson takes a variety of steps to maintain the security of your information. Data is stored on a secure data storage platform with two-step verification password access. The Chairman of the board of trustees invites trustees to review funding applications using an encrypted messaging service. Individual trustees review applications online and no copies of applications are retained by them.
  • The Chairman retains paper copies, which are held securely, of all applications and associated correspondence to comply with charity commission rules.
  • Who has access to your information?
  • The Friends of Alfie Johnson has a board of 4 voluntary trustees, who evaluate applications for assistance and organise fundraising activities for the charity.
  • We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
  • We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Third Party product or service providers: We may pass your information to our third-party product or service providers for the purposes of providing any help in the form of equipment or services that have been requested. However, when we use third party product or service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to supply the product or service. We will not release your information to third parties for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.
  • When you use online donation pages (such as Virgin Money Giving), your donation is processed by a third-party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.
  • Choices
  • Funding applications require the provision of some personal information to allow us to evaluate whether we can provide support. We strive to keep the amount of information we require to a minimum.
